Building off the momentum from the Yorktown tournament, the West Nyack 8u All Stars demonstrated the strength and depth of the team to win the Vincent Crotty tournament hosted by Suffern Little League to become the 2018 Rockland County Champions.  The All Star season was memorable one as it was the first time for most of the team.

Game 1

The team set the tone of the tournament by beating Stony Point 19-3 to start.  West Nyack scored runs in each of the first 3 innings and put the game out of reach in the last inning by putting up 10 runs.

Game 2

West Nyack came out strong scoring 4 runs each of the 1st 2 innings which was all they needed against   Haverstraw. Haverstraw made the game close by scoring 5 in the 4th inning but got no closer as the game ended with a final score of 8-5.

Game 3

The semi final game was a rematch against Haverstraw.  Haverstraw struck first with 1 run in the top of the first but West Nyack came right back with 5 of their own in the bottom of the first.  Haverstraw was held to 1 run in the 3rd and 4th innings but that was as close as they would get as West Nyack added insurance runs and the final score was 11-3.

Game 4

Stony Point fought their way in the playoffs to earn a spot in the championship game to face West Nyack.  Stony Point struck first with 1 run in the 1st inning but West Nyack immediately answered with 5 runs and never looked back.  Pitching held the Stony Point to and West Nyack’s bats continued to shine. The West Nyack 8u All Stars won with a final score of 13-3 to become the 2018 District Champions.
