To all families of West Nyack Little League,

The Board of Directors of West Nyack Little League hopes this finds you and your families in good health in this trying time for everyone.  There is some information that the board can share with you all.

Little League International is encouraging all leagues and districts to play baseball this year.  Due to the fact that the New York City area and its surrounding areas are among the hardest hit in terms of infections, there is a large amount of uncertainty as to when things will begin to open in this part of New York State.  Just because areas upstate may open, it does not mean that this area will be able to open as well.  Until the state and local municipalities decide it is safe to reopen, we are in a complete holding pattern.  The fact that there is no regional/world series tournament play this year, would potentially open us up to play our spring season over the summer or in the fall.

As of now, the Governor has closed everything though May 15th.  Once a decision is made that it is safe to resume play, the WNLL Board of Directors will meet to make these crucial decisions.  It has not been safe for the board of directors to meet at this point and the fact that no decisions have been made at the state and local level as to when everything may begin to reopen, there are no decisions to make yet.

The board will be communicating any pertinent information as it becomes available.

Please be safe and healthy,

WNLL Board of Directors
